zanshin 殘心

biography

I am Zanshin , ざんしん, a painter who loves to express emotions with brushes. Today, I am honored to share my creative philosophy and art world with you. In my eyes, “Canxin” is not only a name, but also the core spirit of my artistic creation, born with the circle.

In the world of martial arts, “Zanshin” represents the indomitable spirit of the warrior, and this spirit echoes the element of “circle”. Through continuous practice and hard work, warriors have honed their inner toughness and displayed endless strength in battle. This kind of power is like a ring, which is endless. After the performance, although the strength is relaxed or the action has been completed, people still maintain a state of vigilance and attention. Furthermore, when the performance is completed, it does not end there, but still retains the aftertaste

I incorporate the spirit of “Zanshin” and the element of “Zanshin” into my creations. Each stroke of the painting represents a circle, symbolizing wholeness and harmony. I hope that the audience can feel inner peace and resonance when appreciating my work.

In my creation, the circle is an extremely important element, and I regard it as the core of my creation. The circle represents completeness, loop and infinity. In the world of art and Zen, the circle has been given many symbolic meanings, such as the circle of life, the connection of the universe, and inner harmony. I use the concept of “remnant heart” to integrate circles into each of my works.

I like to present circles in an abstract way, and express my feelings about life, emotion and the universe through the interweaving of lines and colors. Every piece of work is an extension of my inner world, an exploration and expression of the meaning of “remnant heart”.

My creative process usually starts with an inner resonance, a connection to “Zanshin” and the circle. I will think quietly, find the emotional resonance deep in my heart, and then transform this emotion into the interweaving of lines and colors. I like to use smooth brush strokes and rich layers of color to create depth and richness in the picture.

In my works, you will see many elements about circles, which may be the flow of lines, the interweaving of colors or the layout of the entire picture. Every piece of work is my interpretation of the vocabulary of “Zanshin”, and it is my way of sharing emotions and stories with the audience. If you observe carefully, you may be able to feel my intentions in every stroke.

It has a profound influence on my artistic journey. The circle, as the core element of my creation, symbolizes infinite possibilities and the cycle of life. Each piece of work is my attempt to interpret the two, hoping to touch the hearts of the audience and resonate with beauty.
